e-ProfEng - Innovative Lifelong e-Learning for Professional Engineers

PROBLEM STATEMENT
- Missing of LLL framework and strategies for professional engineers as the drivers of innovation, social and economic development
- Missing managerial skills, team working and leadership abilities
- Lack of qualified skillful engineers in Liefe Long Learning LLL, esp. innovative, sustainable development, managerial and soft skills
- Poor LLL infrastructure

OBJECTIVES
- Defining the qualification gap between Egyptian engineering and the labor market
- Developing an innovative LLL framework in partner universities
- Establishing four professional e- Lifelong Learning training Centers (e-LLC)
- Developing an online Learning Management System (LMS)

METHODS
Market analysis, development of manuals, development of a LLL online study

RESULTS
The main target group for the project includes the engineering community, the wider public and professional engineers. The project is intended to share information, experience, practical ideas and examples with policymakers, planners and governments, and promote the engagement and application of engineering to important challenges. These are connected, and provide an opportunity for change and the engagement of professional engineers, who are concerned about such issues and are attracted to the engineering challenge to address them.
